The latest beta release of iOS 11.2.5 was released this week and according to a recent report from 9to5Mac, buried in the release is the ability for Siri to read the news headlines, and if the news relates to a podcast from iTunes, it’ll then play that podcast. This feature has been a main staple of the Amazon Echo and Alexa, the line of Echo speakers have long been able to read news headlines, the Echo Show can even show you a video snippet from a news channel, but Apple’s Siri has long been playing catchup in terms of reliability and the capability.
