Apple’s new Mac Pro for 2019 was previewed earlier this year at WWDC 2019 in June. At the time and up until November all we knew about the release date is that it would be this Autumn (or Fall). Then, at the end of November Apple confirmed that the Mac Pro would be made available in December.

Now, last weekend Apple has begun sending out the notification emails to people who signed up to them on to say, “The wait is almost over” and that the new Mac Pro as well as the Pro Display XDR would be avaible to order starting on Tuesday this week, 10th December.

The new Mac Pro is very much unlike the older Mac Pro from 2013, which is usually dubbed as the ‘trash can.’ The older one was famously not easily upgradable, whereas the new one can be expanded easily with a more tower design which makes modularity much easier.

On the inside, the CPU can be had in an 8-core, 12-core, 16-core, 24-core and 28 cores. The maximum amount of RAM can be had up to 1.5TB now and there is space for up to two AMD Radeon Pro II Duo graphic cards. Also, on the motherboard are eight PCIe expansion slots.

Pricing starts at $6,000 in the US and the UK pricing is not yet known. The optional Pro Display XDR is 6K and starts at $6,000.

Stay tuned to A&T Tech for more information as we get it on Tuesday.
