This week, Peugeot has updated the e-Rifter MPV with new trim levels, interior changes and more. Peugeot has also changed the pricing of the e-Rifter, now starting at £30,100 in the UK (after the Government Plug-in Car Grant). This is now £350 less than before, even the top spec e-Rifter GT is £1,060 less than before.

The e-Rifter Allure Premium comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, electrically folding door mirrors, privacy glass in the rear and a new key which will allow customers to unlock the back load area separately to the passenger section. Peugeot has also added a new brighter Ice White paint, which replaces the Bianca White colour.

On the base model, there is a parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning and hill assist. Inside, there is a plethora of standard equipment, including a leather steering wheel, air conditioning, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, 10-inch screen for the driver, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Peugeot hasn’t changed the electric systems on the e-Rifter, it still uses the same components as its siblings from Vauxhall and Citroën, with a 134bhp electric motor, 50kWh battery pack – enough to take the MPV 172 miles on one charge. Thankfully, the e-Rifter supports fast charging at 100kW, meaning 0-80% in 30 minutes.

The new updated e-Rifter is on sale now in the UK, prices start at £30,100 in the UK (after the Government Plug-in Car Grant)
