Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has announced that the long awaited Semi has finally entered production. Musk announced the news on Twitter today and the first customer to going to be Pepsi. The first vehicles are to be delivered on 1st December, later this year.
Tesla announced the Semi back in 2017, alongside the all new Roadster. At the time, the company expected to be manufacturing it by 2019. However, by 2020 it saw delays and then delayed again to 2021. Come 2021, Tesla had to notify its shareholders that it would now be delayed until 2022.

The very first batch of vehicles will be delivered to Pepsi. The company actually ordered 100 of the Semi trucks back in December 2017. Other companies such as Walmart and UPS have also ordered the full electric truck too. The Tesla Semi costs from $150,000 and has a 500 mile range.
