Yesterday, Apple has revealed that it is hosting another media event, likely for new Mac devices to be launched at. The company is only going to be offering a live stream online with no in person element to it. Last month, for the new iPhones, Apple had a pre-recorded event but also had media visit Apple Park to get hands on with the new devices and film content for YouTube.

The titled ‘Scary Fast’ event will take place next week on Monday 30th October at 5pm PT (12am GMT). This is an unusual time for Apple to host an event, as typically they are at 10am PT, which equates to 5pm or 6pm in the UK (depending on daylight saving). At the event, Apple is expected to launch new Mac devices. This is further backed up by the fact the animation on the Apple Events website has a Finder icon appear.

Apple is expected to launch a new updated 24-inch iMac, with a new chip. It isn’t clear whether to not Apple will be moving to a new M3 line of chips, or using the existing M2 line. The current iMac 24-inch was launched back in April 2021 and still uses the M1 chip. Also expected is updates to the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro.
